Merry Christmas – a Reflection on Hope and Peace!

My family and I are wishing you all a Merry Christmas!

I truly hope this season feels joyful and restful for all of you. I hope that you can find the beauty even in what felt like a stormy year for many of us.

I know this year was a storm we didn’t really anticipate, one that has challenged us in so many new ways. Or maybe 2020 brought out pain points that had been hiding in the busyness of life.

Here’s what I’m up to over the next month…some time of reflection.

I encourage you to take some time to reflect on the year – on all the good it has brought and all the challenges it has put in your life. Take some time to honestly reflect on how you dealt with the challenges and pain points you’ve had this year. And also be sure to take some time to think on all that you are grateful for too.

Next, take some time to think about how you may want next year to look. Reflection can help us better steer the future and adjust and adapt as we move forward.

2020 has honestly been so hard at times for my hubby and I. There have been times of overwhelm, stress, some fears surfacing, and a ton of frustrations. AND YET, with all of that we still see the beauty, love and have excitement for our life too! And we still had an overlying sense of peace that no matter what happens- God is in control.

Heading into 2021 I’m cheering you on to be the best, most beautiful and Unstoppable version of you no matter what comes your way.

Finally, as a Christian I am hoping you can find the hope that Christmas brings and embrace in your heart what Christ has done for each and every one of us – so that no matter what our life may look like, we will always have a HOPE and a PEACE that transcends all else.

Lots of love this Christmas season from my family to you and yours!

P.S. It’s fun being pregnant this Christmas and imagining how Mary felt during this time. And we are so excited to meet our lil one in the new year!

From the song Oh Holy Night. These lyrics feel so relevant this year…

Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
Till he appeared and the soul felt its worth.
The thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.

THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE!
