Words of Encouragement on Optimizing YOUR Health
I wholeheartedly believe that good health will lead to good things in your life.
If you are functioning and thriving in good health, you’re able to accomplish your passions and goals and have energy to do what you want to do!
Having good health helps us live an Unstoppable Life. Start by getting to know your body and paying attention to what’s going on with it. Education leads to empowerment for healthy choices. In the Optimizing Health Course in my Unstoppable Life program, Dr. Dustin Dillberg and I talk about taking a holistic approach by looking at the physical, mental/emotional, nutritional, and environmental aspects of a healthy life.
As with most topics, sometimes we need words of encouragement to get us energized, educated, or focused, so here are some words on health that I hope do just that for you today…
To ensure good health: eat lightly, breathe deeply, live moderately, cultivate cheerfulness, and maintain an interest in life.
Optimizing Health requires adjustment and intentionality.
Be committed long term.
Breathing, laughing, and sleeping are a great place to start in Optimizing Health.
Start simple!
Health is a state of complete mental, social and physical well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
Optimizing Health can start with a good old fashioned walk.
Move in ways that are fun to you!
Optimizing Health honors God.
“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” – 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
I realize health can be an overwhelming topic, but it can also be as simple as setting the phone down and taking a daily walk while breathing deeply.
Our bodies are amazing and taking good care of them through physical, mental/emotional, nutritional, and environmental awareness and mindfulness can be a daily goal. Small daily choices and changes can lead to big progress in optimizing your health. Check out Meet Dustin for more thoughts and simple tips.
Breath, move, sleep, and eat well…one day at a time!
