Introducing Our Baby Daughter!

Meet our daughter, Alaya Dorothy Dirks!
If you followed along, you might know that we did not find out if we were having a boy or a girl, so it was just such a sweet surprise when Alaya came! 💗
She’s getting so much love from all of us and we are so very thankful to share life with her!
Bringing life into the world reminds us that God’s creation is thoughtful and precious.
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”
Psalm 139:13-16
We did a home birth as we’ve done with all of our children and it was very smooth and peaceful.
After going for a mid-day swim with Micah, I wondered if I was going into labor in the early afternoon. Sure enough by 3:30, it was getting real and we had her just after 7 pm! 🌺
We are feeling really grateful to God for the blessing of family.
We are honored for this opportunity to raise our children – to love, serve, protect and guide them through life!
