Baby #4: We’ve Got 6 of Us on Board Now!

Creating life and bringing it into the world is probably the most beautiful womanly act there is.

From a tiny seed to a small baby, the process of growing a human is absolutely amazing!

Adam, the boys and I are so exited to be growing our family! We’ve been having so much fun together and are looking forward to more opportunities to love one another in this season of life as a growing young family! We are overjoyed and looking forward to welcoming our little bundle of joy this summer!

As we prepare to welcome our 4th child into the world, here’s what’s been going through my mind:

“Wow, four kids is a lot! Is that too much? No way!”

My children are the joy of my life and I look forward to each day shared with them. Being a mother has been the most challenging adventure I’ve took on in my life, but easily the most rewarding!

I believe that life is a gift and each and every life has value.

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance…”

Psalm 139:13-16

I’ve been thinking about how every single human life is fearfully and wonderfully made. All life should be viewed that way! How beautiful to know you were fearfully and wonderfully made by God – this can bring so much meaning to your life! You are loved. You are wonderful. You have purpose. You are no accident.

8 years in to motherhood, I’ve realized that I value my children more than I value “my” time.

I value my family more than I value other things like certain types of wealth, success or whatever else I may seek to attain out there. There are many different ideas on what ‘wealth’ is but I believe a joy-filled family and knowing God are the most beautiful and precious types of wealth.

We can pursue so many things, but what if we pursued what is right in front of us?

Family one of the best blessings around us. To those of you that know this blessing, I hope you are reminded and encouraged to fully embrace the gift that is family.

Finally, I’ve been thinking on this quote and to me it’s always been relevant, but is even more so in today’s society.

“If you want to change the world, go home and love your family.”
Mother Teresa

Cheering y’all on to love your family and those you share life with well! That is how you can change the world.
