Life has a way of becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.
If you tell yourself you can’t do something (eat healthy, get fit, accomplish a goal) it is very likely that you won’t. But if you believe you can, and then put some daily action with your belief…YOU WILL.
When I found out I was pregnant with Tobias my first thought was actually, “I can’t do this!” The timing was not what I had planned and I was naturally fearful of this big change in our life.
It helped me to check myself and bring my thoughts and my feelings before God asking Him to help me through this time. It took a little time, but armed with God’s truths and promises, and held up by the support of Adam and encouragement of my friends and family, I changed my thinking to “Yes, I can”, and motherhood has been one of the greatest joys of my life. The best training you will ever do is mental training. Wherever your mind goes, your body follows. The office of my integrative health practitioner (Dr Kerry Dillberg) has a sign I’ve appreciated for years that says: “What you think about comes about.” I’ve found that to be true often!
Wherever your thoughts go, your life follows. Train your thoughts. Think on the good things!
