Train Your Mind and Change Your Life

An athlete trains so they can be strong, quick and agile, have good technique, and be prepared for anything that comes their way during the game, race or competition. So much of that training is mental.

We all have those internal self-defeating thoughts of: fear, anger, anxiety, self-consciousness, perfectionism, stubbornness, lack of motivation, competitiveness, and distractions.

Combat that inner doubting voice through simple mental exercises and mental shifts that can lead to confidence and determination.

The best training you will ever do is mental training.

Here are some words of encouragement about training your mind to help pump you up today…

From Unstoppable Life guests in the Train Your Mind course:

“Make sure your worst enemy doesn’t live between your own two ears.” -Laird Hamilton

“If I flip me, I flip my environment.” –Gabby Reece

Harnessing the power of your mind leads to true strength.

“Mental toughness is many things. It is humility because it behooves all of us to remember that simplicity is the sign of greatness and meekness is the sign of true strength. Mental toughness is spartanism with qualities of sacrifice, self-denial, dedication. It is fearlessness, and it is love.” ―Vince Lombardi

“You have power over your mind, not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.” ―Marcus Aurelius

Training Your Mind allows gratitude, peace, and happiness into your life.

“The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.” —William James

“At the age of 18, I made up my mind to never have another bad day in my life. I dove into an endless sea of gratitude from which I’ve never emerged.” —Patch Adams

Training Your Mind takes practice and repetition.

“As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.” —Henry David Thoreau

“You must learn a new way to think before you can master a new way to be.” -Marianne Williamson

The Bible speaks to the importance of your mind.

“You keep him in perfect peace whose MIND is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” Isaiah 26:3 ESV

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your MIND.” Matthew 22:37 ESV

In 2 Corinthians 10:5 we are reminded that we can “take every thought captive to obey Christ.”
