I have partnered with 18 teenage girls who dared to dream and do something significant for others.
Together we have a single impact purpose:
To transform the lives of teenage girls who have a terminally or chronically ill sibling or have recently lost a sibling, through the power of God, family & community.
In Spring 2023, we hosted a one day event for teen girls who had lost a sibling or have a terminally or chronically ill sibling, and their moms, called Waves: Wonderfully Made. At a young age, the 19 girls who attended Waves had been faced with loss, grief, and many new situations. Many of them feel ALONE in their circumstances, as it’s rare to have a friend who actually understands what you’re going through. The Waves event brought a sense of COMMUNITY, connecting girls with a shared experience. At the event, they also got to hear a message of HOPE and have some FUN!
This summer, the 18 girls I’ve partnered with will be hosting 10 of the “Waves” girls for the experience of a lifetime. They will get to participate in my 12 week ‘Ohana mentorship program as a group, with their mom or a mother figure, and come to Hawaii for a dream mother-daughter trip!
In my ‘Ohana mentorship program, we hit on 10+ coming of age topics, like communication, drugs & alcohol, relationships, purity, and health, in an approachable way for a girl to talk about with her mom, mentor or guardian. The course will guide teens in their mindset, their choices, in their family relationships, and in their faith.
