Good sleep makes your whole life SOO much better.
I know a lot of people out there struggle with sleep and I totally relate!
My sleep was awful a couple years ago and I went on a journey to fix it. I’ve been coached a lot on this by different experts and so I’d like to share what I’ve learned along the way and what has helped me.
3 Things I Do to Improve My Sleep:
Have a Bedtime Snack
I always have a snack right before bed that includes protein and glucose. Honey milk is one of my favorites. The boys and I also like our Hot Carob Milk (it’s kind of like hot chocolate! 😋). It helps me balance my blood sugar before bed so my body can rest more fully!
Put Screens Away
I limit my screen time before bed and have some time to unplug and relax. It feels so good to just unwind a little bit and decompress! During this time, my mind and body slow down, de-stress, and get drowsy. Then it’s easier for me to fall asleep!
Get Exercise & Sunshine
I make it a habit to get my body moving each day either by surfing, working out in the gym or just adventuring in nature. It’s also super important to me that I get some time outdoors so I can soak up a little sunshine. These routines help my overall health; I sleep better after I’ve used my muscles and gotten some Vitamin D during the day!

When we sleep better, our whole life gets better! We are able to love those around us more fully, we’re able to go after our goals with tenacity, and just rock it in our daily lives!
