Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth!”
In this psalm, the psalmist is talking about how when chaos is happening in the world around us, or even to us, we can have peace as we trust in the Lord. We are living in a really hectic day in age… there’s a lot of chaos and negativities in this world. This verse is a bit counter-culture! Our culture wants to resist the existence of God and place ourselves as the ultimate authorities.
Let’s get real: Life’s not about me, myself and I. It’s about God and He’s going to be glorified in the end.
What’s one way we can be more self-less today and glorify God?
When I’m unstoppable, I live each day with selflessness and celebrate God’s greatness.
Pray with me:
Help me, Lord, to do as Psalm 46:10 commands: to be still, and know that You are God. God, you will be exalted among the nations. You will be exalted in the earth! Help me to exalt you in my day. – Amen
