Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth!”
In this psalm, the psalmist is talking about how when chaos is happening in the world around us, or even to us, we can have peace as we trust in the Lord. We are living in a really hectic day in age… there’s a lot of chaos and negativities in this world. This verse is a bit counter-culture! Our culture wants to resist the existence of God and place ourselves as the ultimate authorities.
Let’s get real: Life’s not about me, myself and I. It’s about God and He’s going to be glorified in the end.
What’s one way we can be more self-less today and glorify God?
When I’m unstoppable, I live each day with selflessness and celebrate God’s greatness.
Pray with me:
Help me, Lord, to do as Psalm 46:10 commands: to be still, and know that You are God. God, you will be exalted among the nations. You will be exalted in the earth! Help me to exalt you in my day. – Amen
What would it look like if your did two random acts of kindness today? If you’re up for the challenge, try doing one towards someone close to you and another to someone a bit more distant in your life, or maybe even a stranger. Post about your kindness-action experiences with #BUnstoppable
Have you had a selfish attitude toward God; trying to place yourself in a position of authority over him? Write a prayer asking his forgiveness. What’s one way you can be more self-less today, next week, and next month as you seek to bring glory to God? What would it look like if you continued showing kindness to those around you throughout this next year?
Next time a massive set back or a daily disappointment comes your way I encourage you to “bookmark it”, take some time outside to regain perspective, and remember that forgiveness and faith in a consistent God can help you reframe.
