Rip Curl is my major surf sponsor. My relationship with the company goes back to when I was 9 years old after winning the Rell Sunn Menehune event. They continued to support me through the loss of my arm, recovery, and return to surfing. I’m proud to wear their clothes and use their products.

Rip Curl started as a wetsuit company and they pride themselves in making the best wetsuits in the industry. They have been so kind as to make specially designed full-wetsuits for me to fit “stumpy”, so I don’t have a sleeve to tuck in or cut off.

Watches
Rip Curl makes really great waterproof watches. They are especially important for me while training and surfing in competitions – I can keep track of the amount of time left in my heat and time the sets.

Rip Curl not only makes clothing and swim wear, they also make luggage and travel accessories. I use Rip Curl travel bags, backpacks, and purses.
Competition Surfing
Rip Curl sponsors about 4 ASP World Tour events annually, and also run a Grom Search series. They have recently invited me to surf as a Wild Card in a few of their prestigious World Tour events!
Surf Trips
Rip Curl’s motto is “Live the Search.” And they make it a priority to send their teamriders on Search trips to the best surf destinations in the world. I’ve had the pleasure to join many of those trips (Bali, Mentawais) and look forward to more in the future!
