“Love for Mothers” Day Giveaway

Friday, April 27th, 2012

Mother’s Day is coming up (May 13th) and I wanted to honor my mom Cheri Hamilton by telling you some things I love about her, and by doing a fun giveaway of my mom’s book Raising a Soul Surfer!

So here’s how we’ll do it:
1. You need to copy these statements below & paste them into a response* to this blog post.
2. Tell me what you love about your mom by completing the statements in your response.
3. 10 people will be chosen who will get a signed copy of my mom’s book to give to their mom for Mother’s Day!

THE BEST THING ABOUT MY MOM IS…her creativity- although lots of ideas inspire her, when she comes up with new ideas, SHE is the one that has the ideas that inspire everyone.
I KNOW MY MOM LOVES ME BECAUSE…she is always trying to keep us out of harm. She also makes sure that she provides me with everything I need. In addition, she is always hugging me and telling me how much she loves me!

Bethany,you are truely an inspiration to all and more importantley you give glory to our precious lord and savior”Jesus Christ”.I live in Stagecoach Nevada and am affiliated with “Souled out Ministries”.Steve and Mary Bostriche run the youth group out here,Actually through their own expense fed half the kids out here for years.Exstreme home makeovers totally renovated their modest home and recreation center it was beautifull.Pastor Steve and his wife also help their daughter who has a son (Joshua) who has a severe diasbility and requires 24/7 care.Although when the show totally upgraded the youth ministry recreation center,it was not thought ahead that the property taxes and personal property taxes multiplies times ten.Now Souled out ministries is in jeapardy(actually in foreclosure because of taxes), and the Bostriches are being forced to m ove outta state.Anyway i’m trying to organize a fund raiser in order to save this very important ministry.As i told you previousley I’m limited to whAT I can do ,I have only one arm too.Did I tell you I graduated from Castle Highschool In Kaneohe?

Hi Bethany,
recently I just finished reading your book – Soul Surfer!! I know your probably sick of reading those same comments over and over again reading the same words frequently. I have to admit (sorry) that I dont know much about you. Yes I read your book ( It was amazing by the way) but I still dont know you (know what I mean). My simple message that I wanted to send to you was not about how i love your website or that im inspired by you (even though i very muchly am and I do love your website). My message was that you really are truly amazing. When i first saw that picture of You and Alana riding on your scateboards way before the attack I thought — How amazing would it be to have such a cool life style like that. I’m not sure what it would be like to be famous and i dont think i would want to be famous but the thing about you is that u didn’t hav a choice. That didnt affect you though. Instead you thought – Lets focus on the future. That is why I think ur amazing.
P.s We had a role model assignment at school and we got to pick two people- I picked you.

i dont know you much and im sorry im writing this but what about for beths sake.
I read her book Soul surfer recently and she said she was sick of people coming up to her that she didnt know. She wasn’t sick of it but smetimes she wanted to spend some time with the people she’s known all her life. I know how u feel because I want to meet her too but sometimes it’s better to leave people as they are. I know that maybe beth doesnt agree with this and im sorry if she doesnt. It’s just that I keep gwtting that feeling that maybe she doesn’t want to be known by anyone so much anymore.
