On Friday, August 12, Bethany Hamilton made a last minute, surprise appearance at the Harvest Crusade in Anaheim, California. Hamilton told the crowd about the traumatic shark attack she survived, when she was 13, that changed her life. Her story has since hit the big screen in the movie, “Soul Surfer.” “I saw the beauty in it and [God] turned the bad into good,” said Hamilton… (“Anaheim Harvest draws 150,000″ – Christian Examiner)

Bethany- oh my goodness! You must love surfing WAY more than I do and are probably more stubborn than I am! I mean, if I got my arm bitten off, I would probably try and surf again but would probably fail. But you, you are incredible. You’re so modest and faithful to god, you’re a pretty big role model to a lot of people (like you didn’t already know that! )
