Kendall met Bethany on Waikiki Beach in Oahu, Hawaii, where they spent time getting to know each other. They rode together on a fire truck in Honolulu’s 4th of July parade. Kendall was also a special guest at the Soul Surfer movie “Sunset on the Beach” screening, where Bethany & actress AnnaSophia Robb presented Kendall with her very own copy of SOUL SURFER on Blu-ray! Two days later, on the island of Kauai, Kendall went surfing with Bethany where she stood up and rode to shore on her very first wave.


ESPN MEDIA ZONE- Can you imagine kicking a soccer ball with a player from the U.S. Men’s National Team, managing a Major League Baseball team for a day, throwing a football to a Heisman Trophy winner, or getting into the water with one of the top female surfers? Those are the sports-themed wishes granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation on ESPN’s sixth annual SportsCenter "My Wish," Sunday, July 17 through Wednesday, July 20.
Each wish will be the subject of a SportsCenter feature segment with the first debuting on the 10 a.m. ET edition July 17, followed by the remaining three first airing on the 6 p.m. telecasts.
Wishes include three-time Major League Soccer Cup champion Landon Donovan of the Los Angeles Galaxy (Sunday, July 17), the Minnesota Twins (Monday, July 18), Heisman Trophy quarterback Tim Tebow of the Denver Broncos (Tuesday, July 19), and professional surfer Bethany Hamilton (Wednesday, July 20). Emmy Award-winning reporter Chris Connelly will host the series for the sixth straight year, as ESPN chronicles sports-themed wishes granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation to children with life-threatening medical conditions.
