Bethany arrived in Australia with a wildcard entry she received from Rip Curl to their Bells Beach ASP World Tour event!
Bethany started the competition in Womens Round 1, Heat #4 with a tough heat against former 4x world champ, Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) and Courtney Conlogue (USA). She got 3rd in that heat.
In Round 2, Bethany went up against her favorite female surfer in the world. The heat started off very slow, with not a lot of waves coming through. Bethany just couldn’t find the momentum to carry her through and lost to the very in-form technical surfing by Chelsea Hedges (AUS).
FINAL RESULTS: 13th place, 1750Pts, US4,500

I watched you! Didn’t you compete against Stephanie Gilmore? She’s a hard match! I hope you do better next time! I watched Alana compete too. She was good, and I’m sad she didn’t make it out of her 2nd heat
